Anat Rachmel yoga teacher

Meet Anat

Anat first set foot on the path of Iyengar Yoga in 2002 while working towards her Bachelor’s in Architecture as an undergraduate student. A close friend had recommended yoga as a way to recharge and find creative ideas for team assignments. After her first session,  where she had felt an unbelievable change coming from within her body, she signed up for class and had never quit since.

Over the following years, as Anat delved deeper into her study and practice, she discovered that yoga was her true calling. In 2008, she traveled to India to study with the legendary Iyengar family, including the esteemed B.K.S. Iyengar himself.

In India, Anat was deeply moved by the compassionate teaching methods of the Iyengars. She was inspired by their ability to guide students’ wandering minds into the present moment, grounding them in the asana (posture) and fostering a deep connection with the heart, free from worldly distractions and filled with gratitude.

Later that year, Anat became an Iyengar Yoga instructor, and she has since dedicated herself to continuous practice, study, and offering her support in remedial classes whenever possible.

With her students, Anat seeks to explore yoga postures and discover new ways to nurture the body-mind-breath connection through the various stages and challenges of life.

Raising 2 children in the past decade, expanded Anat’s understanding of the great contribution of yoga practice to women’s body and to her family's well being

“It's never too late in life to practice yoga... if you understand the stiffness as well as the mobility, and go step by step to remove the stiffness and increase the range of mobility, You can all do yoga. A body which carries out yogic practices is like a fort which keeps up its defensive strength so that the offensive strength in the form of disease will not enter.” B.K.S

Thanks to the support of her family, each year Anat travels to further her education and practice and receive the overwhelming teachings of the senior teachers who continue the legacy of B.K.S. Iyengar, his late daughter Geeta and his son Prashant in India (RIMYI), Italy (with Gabriella Guibilaro) and Israel.

Anat's passion for yoga continues to deepen every day. Most recently, she earned the prestigious Level 3 certification, empowering her to better assist students with their individual needs and challenges, as well as to mentor fellow teachers in their ongoing education.

Join Anat on the path to expand your own awareness, and explore the pure nature of our own being.
